The Tri-State Transportation Campaign, like other South Bronx activist groups, thinks the Sheridan Expressway in the Bronx is underused, and that it'd make more sense to tear it down and create "affordable housing, mixed-use retail and open space" in its place. Environmental impact statements may be convincing to wonks, but we think anyone can get the message that Tri-State conveys with this group photo, which they claim was taken at rush hour. Score one for visual literacy!
