Ev'ybody gotta eat, right? So after the Albany Democrats
gave fat raises to their staffers, and city council
gave fat raises to their staffers (in emulation of the Mayor's
similar largesse to his staffers), the boys and girls of the MTA hadda have their hands out, too. NY1 predicts raises of between 3.5 and 4 percent. That means another
$400 million from you, the rider/sap. In fairness, the raises sound reasonable; we're going to ask our boss for one like that, too. We could both use a good laugh.
