Nature's War on New York Continues with Morningside Heights Snake Attack

rachelw.jpg
Mother Nature continues to menace New York. This time her wrath was felt in a snake attack. This morning cops found a boa constrictor across the street from Central Park, at the entrance to a laundromat at 410 West 110th Street. NY1 followed up, learning that the snake had been found by the landromat's employees "curled in between bags of clothes." The snake, its provenance yet unknown, is now in the care of Animal Care and Control.

The incident has been noticed as far away as the North Country; New York's Intelligencer, whose turn of mind is evidently similar to ours, tracks other recent snake sightings in the city. They didn't think to include this lovely picture of Rachel Weisz with their story, though, so we feel as if we've really added something to the coverage.
