Your Morning Taser Outrage

The Syracuse Post-Standard has a heartwarming story today about a young mother who was tasered by a sheriff's deputy in Salina, New York last January for, it would seem, denying that she was speeding, requesting to see the tape that allegedly showed that she was, and failure to comply with Onondaga County sheriff's deputy Sean Andrews' demand that she get out of the car. The mother, who had to get bystanders to call her husband to pick up her kids (who were left in the car as Andrews hauled her away), had her charges dismissed by the local D.A. a month later. The deputy is under investigation.

If you're still up for more, here's a classic video of an obstreperous 72-year-old woman being tased by a cop in Texas.
