Drugs Aren't the Only Things MacKenzie Phillips Has Done
Today's item most likely to make you throw up in your mouth comes courtesy of MacKenzie Phillips -- daughter of the late Mamas & Papas founder John Phillips, ex-sitcom star and professional addict.
In her new book, High On Arrival (because, of course), Phillips makes a hell of a claim -- the kind of thing sure to up the ante in the "Shocking Celebrity Memoir" genre: She says she carried on an incestuous relationship with her famous father. Phillips taped an episode of Oprah yesterday -- it'll air later today -- during which she said that John Phillips initially drugged and raped her but that in time the sex became consensual.
Adding a much-needed dose of level-headed sanity to the Phillips family pretzel is MacKenzie's half-brother, Tamerlane Phillips, who lashed out at big sis's media tour by telling Page Six:
"My family is and always will be a decrepit bowl of dog urine compared to Nityananda of Ganeshpuri. That is how great Nityananda is. Worship Nityananda, not the Phillips family. Nityananda can protect you,"
Oh, man. Christmas at these people's house must be a blast.
