Nunes Challenges White's 4-Vote Council Vote Lead

lnunes.jpg
Lynn Nunes, who is four votes down to incumbent Thomas White in the 28th Council District Democratic primary, called to tell us he is challenging the result -- in fact his people were in court on Friday. He's a bit vague about details -- "it's sort of out of my control," he says -- but he is aware of "people who went to the polls and their names were not in the book" and similar irregularities, which are the basis of his challenge. "It's important to make sure that the result is fair, balanced, and democratic, and that every vote is counted," he adds.

We visited our local polling place minutes ago for the runoff; no other voters were present. A poll-watcher told us attendance is "way down" even from the poorly attended primary. Want to make a difference? You won't have many better opportunities.
