Testosterone Spray Promises Increased Libido, Sex in Seconds

Need to butch up? There's a spray for that. Or there will be, as soon as Acrux Ltd can get it on the market -- which, considering how the pharmaceutical industry loves sexy drugs, should be soon. They've developed a testosterone spray called Axiron, which tests show "restored levels of the hormone to normal in 84 percent of testosterone-deficient men after four months." Also, test subjects reported "twice as much sex and 80 percent more libido on average" after using Axiron.

Gels currently used for the condition are "are considered messy, sticky and slow-drying," Acrux tells Bloomberg News. Put Axiron on your dresser next to the hair spray and deodorant, and you're good to go in seconds...

Sufferers from low testosterone have our sympathies, but we expect Axiron, like Viagra, will quickly find itself in the arsenal of recreational sex-drug users. In a FDA review of the side effects of testosterone gels -- including those experienced by "children ranging in age from nine months to five years" who only came in contact with the gel users -- adverse reactions included "inappropriate enlargement of the genitalia (penis or clitoris), premature development of pubic hair, advanced bone age, increased libido, and aggressive behavior" -- signs of "inappropriate virilization" which we imagine some adult party animals may consider an asset. It's an air of self-confidence and sexy, aggressive behavior you can spray on! Photo (cc) AMagill.
