A repo man gets into a tense situation on Staten Island

Helen Walker took off in her sedan on Thursday to keep it from being repossessed. Unfortunately for both of them, the repo man was lying across the hood.

Walker, 59, allegedly drove into the unidentified victim, then drove a good chunk of a mile along Victory Blvd. with him still hanging from the car. Police stopped her at St Mark's Place. They had to break the windows and physically remove her from the car when she refused to unlock the doors.

The repo man was treated at Richmond University Medical Center for bruises and swelling. Walker is charged with second-degree assault, misdemeanor reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and harassment.
