Latest anti-Bloomberg ad: It's 2021 and Guess Who's in City Hall

The latest anti-Bloomberg cable TV ad from Communications Workers Local 1180 takes place in the not too distant future and it's All-Bloomberg, All the Time World. Here's the script, against a star-streaked night sky:

"The year is 2021. We are entering Michael Bloomberg's 6th term as Mayor of New York City. A city that is now known as Bloomberg Town. A city far different than the one we know today.."

This brave new city has "no public schools and working families commute from outer regions to work." The Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, and, of course, City Hall, have all been redubbed in honor of the Maximum Leader.

Yes, the 30-second spot is completely and ridiculously over-the-top. But so is an $85.2 million, $1 million-a-day campaign by a two-term mayor, so fair's fair.

Like the earlier ones in this series, it was crafted by political consultant Scott Levenson.
