Project Runway Villainess Kenley Collins's Favorite Brooklyn Bar is Matchless

This week is the Voice's Best of NYC issue, our annual opportunity to bestow awards like Best Shop for the Williamsburg Girl Who Has to Grow Up and Best Bodega on our favorite things. In turn, we asked a few of our favorite New Yorkers to name their favorite local things.

Kenley Collins played the bitchiest Project Runway contestant that could make "one hell of a fifties dress." Out of Parsons The New School for Design and back in Brooklyn, she's befriended her former co-stars and gives advice on the best place to shop, and the worst street to navigate in her retro heels.

Best store we don't know about?

I like Zachary's Smile on Lafayette. I'm always drawn back there to see their great selection of boots, clothes, or accessories, and it's pretty affordable.

Best bar in Brooklyn?

Matchless in Greenpoint.

Best subway stop?

Bedford L stop. There's always something unique being sold on the street, great stores, bars, and restaraunts on every block.

Hardest street to navigate in heels?

Little West 12th Street.

Favorite fellow New Yorker?

Stella Zotis and Daniel Feld. My new family after meeting them on the show.

Best place to spot a Project Runway alum?

Mood, or the Fashion District in general.
