Somebody Got Murdered: Sister Stabs Brother Over Cashed Check

LOCATION: 370 East 153rd St., The Bronx.
The police have arrested 58-year-old Maxine Vereen of the above address in the stabbing death of a neighbor, Jerry Williams, 72. Williams was stabbed in the chest. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was declared dead.
News 12 reported that Vereen is Williams' sister. Neighbors claimed that she was angry that he cashed a check without letting her do it. They also told the television station that Vereen had a drug problem.
