1 Dead, 1 Injured in G Train Incident; Delays Reported (Updated)

That big delay on the F line this morning has been explained: not one but two people were injured -- one fatally, one critically -- by a northbound G train at the Seventh Avenue station in Park Slope around 7:45 a.m.

The incident rerouted the F to the D line, and also cocked up G train service. The tracks are allegedly clear now with "residual delays." No further explanation of the incident yet, but suicide attempts don't usually injure two people. More as it develops.

Update: Originally we had this as an F train, but the Advance says it was a G train that hit them.

Update 2: Gothamist says the second casualty was the train operator, suffering from "trauma." Image (cc) Mshades.
