Quick hit: accused 9/11 planners to face trial in NY

Attorney General Eric Holder announced today that 5 prisoners accused of plotting the 9/11 terrorist attacks will be transferred from the the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp to face trial in a civilian court in New York.

Ramzi Bin al-Shibh, Walid bin Attash, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali, Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi. and "mastermind" Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will be tried in what was the shadow of the World Trade Center. Holder is instructing prosecutors to ask for the death penalty.

Five other defendants are being tried by a military commission.
