Continuing our Staten Island/ cosmetic procedure/ crime theme: Earlier this year, when Reverend William Blasingame of Staten Island's St. Paul's Memorial Episcopal Church was accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the church for, among other things, Botox and plastic surgery, his parishioners took up a collection to help him pay it back in hopes of sparing him jail time. Nonetheless the Staten Island D.A. prosecuted him. It looks like the money will get used: today Blasingame got probation and was ordered to pay $84,537 in restitution -- the money he stole, plus $4,000. Blasingame is no longer pastor of St. Paul's, but may have a new career as a Terence Stamp impersonator. Image via dlisted.
