This Week in Conservatism: Obama/ACORN Stole Election, Lou Dobbs for Prez, Etc.

Categories: Featured, Politics
wimgnut.jpgTo review, here's what the American conservative movement is up to these days:

• A Public Policy Polling survey showed by that most Republicans believe ACORN stole the 2008 election for Obama. Only 27 percent of them believe Obama won it fair and square, and opposed to 62 percent of Americans.

• Several prominent Christians, including former Nixon aide Charles Colson and nine Catholic archbishops, stated in a "Manhattan Declaration" that they "will not comply with any edict that purports to compel our institutions to participate in abortions, embryo-destructive research, assisted suicide and euthanasia." This is apparently a follow-on to the threat to close Catholic hospitals if they are required to provide abortions. As you might imagine, the Christians will also resist all efforts to make them recognize gay couples.

• Former Presidential contender, Senator, and actor, and current radio host Fred Thompson claims the war in Afghanistan is "lost" because "the president does not have the will and determination to do what's necessary to win it." (Even some turbo-charged wingnuts are having trouble with this one.)

Lou Dobbs is thinking of running for President.
