Another kid has been killed in a local accident. The perpetrator was not, as has become the custom, an allegedly drunk cop or an allegedly drunk mom. It was a 15-year old driver.

The unnamed teen motorist crashed an SUV through a fence on the Bruckner Expressway in The Bronx and flipped it after midnight this morning, expelling and critically injuring his passenger, 12-year-old Kaitlin Booth (pictured), who died later at Jacobi Hospital.

The boy is said not to have obtained permission from any adult to drive the 2003 GMC Envoy, which is registered to someone at Booth's home in Throgs Neck, before taking off with it, and to have lied to cops after the crash, saying Booth was on the sidewalk when the vehicle, driven by someone else, hit her and flipped. He sustained minor cuts on his face.

Booth lived in the same building as the suspect. An acquaintance named Cisco tells the Daily News the boy is "a little wild." Charges are not yet announced, though the driver is certainly unlicensed.
