Andrea Peyser Denounces Bloomingdales' War on Christmas

• Lindsay Lohan �I have under no circumstances abused prescribed drugs. I never have � never in my life. I've no want to. It is really not who I am,� She says. �I have admitted to the things which I�ve done � to, you know, dabbling using some things and trying things �cause I used to be young and curious and assumed it had been like, o . k, �cause people were doing it and folks stuff it around me. And I see what came in my life simply because of it.�

• And stop using that lame leftist straw man to try to justify it. No one has told the Muslims that they can�t build a mosque. Those of us who oppose are saying �don�t do it THERE.� There are zoning ordinances across the nation that dictate where various businesses and other organizations can build. This is no different. There has already been discussion in NY about allowing this bunch to put the mosque somewhere else. But now that Obama has (again) stuck his nose in where it doesn�t belong, things are escalating out of control.

• It has nothing to do with forcing Christain beliefs on other people, its just that nobody wants to see their holiday become diluted and taken away from them. The idea of giving during the winter season is wonderful, just as long as Christmas isn't rubbed out in the process. For years stores have had Christmas displays and when they suddenly remove the word Christmas, it may not seem like a big deal but it does change the meaning.

• The war is not on Christmas. The war is on Christians thinking they own everything where all others are mere guests. Atheists, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, ect ect ect, do not celebrate the birth of Jesus, BUT are perfectly capable of enjoying the idea of giving during the winter season. We all celebrate in different ways for different reasons. It is time for Christians to accept that this is OUR country and they are not the only ones who live in it.

• Peyser wanted a more traditional Christmas theme, like "The Twelve Mistresses of Tiger."

• Her "prominent friend"? Why can't she get her ass out of her office at the Post and walk down the street to Bloomingdale's and look at it for herself?

• Now I have to label my fuckin' tree?

• "while they're 'tarted up this season with colored lights... there exists not a single mention of Christmas'..." Perhaps the presence of colored lights is enough to indicate a Christmas celebration? For a professional columnist (albeit with the Post), Peyser seems to know very little about avoiding redundancy.

• This is the year, liberals! We're finally going to stop it!
