"Drink Yourself Fat": City Grosses You Out for Your Health

Remember the "Pour on the Pounds" Department of Health ad warning New Yorkers that when they were pouring Coke and Snapple they were actually pouring fat? Well, DOH has followed through: now there's a TV ad showing a man drinking the fat. They also plop a repulsive mass on a plate to demonstrate that "one can of soda a day can make you 10 pounds fatter a year." "If this campaign shifts habits even slightly," says Health Commissioner Thomas Farley, "it could have real health benefits." No kidding. We threw up our breakfast after we saw it, and plan to skip lunch. We'll be back to our fighting weight in no time!

We can't wait till they try this provocative method on safe sex advertising.
