Judge: NYPD Must Give Up Race Data on Cop Shootings

NYCLU says they want the data so they can "give New Yorkers the full story on police shootings, not the NYPD's spin." Madden said the cops hadn't shown a compelling public interest in hiding the information.
Bell was shot outside a bachelor party in 2006 by police who said they thought he was armed, which turned out not to be the case. The shooters were acquitted of all charges in April of last year. Some people think race has something to do with it.
