Judge: NYPD Must Give Up Race Data on Cop Shootings

• ok,discount the cases involving shootouts. What is left are cases of clear cut murder and attempted murder of unarmed persons by police officers who were supposedly trained to serve and protect, not murder and disrespect...Ellenor Bumpers,Sean Bell, Amadu Diallo to name a few. White officers even shot a Black officer in the back without warning as he was in pursuit of a suspect who had run onto a train at Lexington ave. This sort of behavior goes way back, do you recall the Black detective who was shot in the back without warning by a white officer as he chased down a white suspect who he had a warrant for? this was back in 1969/70...

• I hope when they give the data, it is broken down to indicate how many of the people shot were shooting at a cop when the action took place. If one is shooting at a cop, and he/she shoots back, the race doesn't matter, does it?
