Bless PETA. Their
latest celebrity nude ad has both nudity
and blasphemy. Joanna Krupa (
Something, Something Else) is an "Angel for Animals" with a crucifix concealing her nipples. Bill Donahue of the
Catholic League rises to the bait -- and he's mad on behalf of animals
and Jesus Christ! " In 2008, as demonstrated by the Center for Consumer Freedom, PETA killed 95 percent of the adoptable pets in its care," says Donahue (PETA response to that charge
here.) "Moreover, pet stores don't rip off Christian iconography and engage in cheap irreligious scams." The
outrage spreads, the torch is passed, and the dream will never die. (Full ad after the jump. We do our part!)
While we're on the subject: the Post has Tiger Woods leaving a message for alleged mistress Jaimee Grubbs. You'll have to hear it yourself: after "Hi, it's Tiger" we were laughing too hard to get the rest. Woods does the vague public confession/apology, so now we can all move on to Meredith Baxter being gay. Now, on to the policy analysis that is the usual mainstay of this blog.
