Sheriff Joe Arpaio Foiled by "Bohemian Rhapsody" at School Talk (UPDATED)

Joe Arpaio -- the sadistic sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona who has instituted a female chain gang, cut prisoners to two meals a day, and is contemplating a run for Governor -- was invited for some reason to respond to questions by professors at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Tempe, Arizona last night. After 45 minutes of Q&A, he was confronted by "a group of protestors singing to the tune of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody,'" per East Valley Living, whereupon the sheriff and the professors evacuated the stage.

Arpaio was recently in the news for defending a detention officer who, caught on tape snatching documents from a defense attorney, refused a judge's order to apologize.

UPDATE: For a full report on Arpaio's speaking appearance and the protest, check out this account from our sister paper, Phoenix New Times.
