Shootings in The Bronx: 71-Year-Old (Stable Condition), Young Mother (Dead)

Police believe this young man, about 17 years old and 5'8", shot a 71-year-old man in the face Saturday in commission of a robbery on Grant Avenue neat Bronx Science High. The victim is in stable condition at Lincoln Hospital. There was also a shooting in The Bronx this morning -- this one fatal: Laikisha Scriven, 30, an Administration for Children's Services worker, was shot "execution style" in front of her daughters, age 8 and 5, outside their home on Furman Avenue. Cops don't think it had to do with her case work, and cite a domestic violence background. All they have on the shooter so far is: black male. slim build, orange jacket.
