Somebody Got Murdered: Brooklyn Teen Girl Stabs Alleged Attacker to Death

LOCATION: F train subway station, 21 Street and 41 Avenue, Queens.

When a gang of thugs tried to assault a teenage girl in the F train station, she fought back, stabbing one of her attackers to death, police and media reports say.


Thomas Winston, 29, of 10th Street in Queens was found stabbed in the chest at the above subway station. He was taken to Cornell Hospital where he was declared dead.

The New York Times reports that Cyan Brown, a sophomore in high school, was harassed at a restaurant, and then chased into the subway station, pulling her off of an F train. She told her older sister that she had stabbed Winston in self-defense. Winston bled to death outside a chicken and pizza joint just above the train station.

Diane Greenspan, Winston's aunt, said that Winston, who haad a young daughter, was "at the wrong place at the wrong time. Winston, the Times reports, was an aspiring rapper who had been arrested on narcotics and weapons charges in the past.
