Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, After 23 Years, to Remain Unmarried, See Other People

They were never married, which made the 23 years Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon spent together that much more charming and countercultural. Now Sarandon's rep announces that the Hollywood stars and liberal activists are no longer a couple, and in fact haven't been since last summer -- maybe they waited to give the news to fans as a Christmas present.

Robbins, 51, and Sarandon, 63, have two children. Rightwing douchebags react predictably ("Now it's time for some 'pub generating' to perk up their careers which like many Hollywood libs have taken backseat in the freak parade since the Uber libs have descended on Washington," etc).

It will be repeated that Robbins' and Sarandon's non-union lasted longer than most Hollywood marriages, but they're not the record holders: Michelle Triola Marvin and Dick Van Dyke lived in unwed bliss for 30 years.
