Terror suspect Dr. Aafia Siddiqui was hauled from a Manhattan courtroom where she was being tried today when she started yelling during a prosecution witness' testimony. Siddiqui, 37, was detained in Afghanistan in 2008 when she was found to have suspicious chemicals and notes referring to New York landmarks, but she is charged in the case with attempted murder for grabbing a U.S. officer's rifle while in detention and attempting to shoot her interrogators. She is said to have yelled "Get the fuck out of here!" and "Allahu Akbar!" before she was shot in the stomach and subdued.

She claimed in her outburst today that she has been held in a secret prison (she has previously claimed such detention by the U.S. and Pakistan; officials claim she was at large till 2008), that her children have been tortured, and that "this isn't a fair court."

Siddiqui attended the University of Houston and MIT and received a Ph.D. from Brandeis University.
