Drug-addled Wannabe Model Who Mowed Down Staten Island Joggers Sobs in Court

Aging wannabe model Gypsy Porfirio, who ran down two Staten Island joggers on Tuesday, will likely need even more of the Xanax, Ambien, and Percocet that she took before the crash and were found on her afterwards.

The Daily News reports that she sobbed "I'm sorry!" after her arraignment Wednesday on assault and drug charges.

Cops found 60 of the pain- and brain-deadening pills tucked into the 34-year-old self-described model's waistband and boots right after the crash. "I blacked out at the wheel," she said in court papers perused by the newspaper. She apparently admitted taxing two Xanax, an Ambien, and a Percocet less than one hour before smacking into the joggers, one of whom, a prosecutor says, is "likely to not survive." That's teacher Daniel Kelley, 23. His 18-year-old girlfriend, Gina Siclari, was slightly less hurt.

Porfirio "trembled, cried and hid behind her long dark hair" at her arraignment, the Daily News says. Maybe some combination of Xanax, Ambien, and Percocet will help calm her.
