Liz Benjamin says the boy was found shooting dice (!) near Beacon High on the Upper West Side, where he goes to school. Cops asked him about a credit or debit card found in his possession; cops are said to have found his answer as to how he obtained the card, which was not in his name, unconvincing.
He was taken to the 20th Precinct house for questioning. His mother apparently came and got him afterward.
Police understandably aren't saying much about it.
