Governor Paterson Neck-Kiss Tryst Denied by Paterson, "Player"
This weekend's Post report that Governor Paterson was "neck-kissing" a "Latina lovely" at a Jersey restaurant has been denied by the Governor. Paterson's companion at the River Palm Terrace in Edgewater, N.J. has been identified as Jennifer Jones, 34, a Paterson fund-raiser and "mother of three seeking the governor's advice on starting an after-school program," per the Albany Times-Union.
A Paterson spokesman says "any insinuation of inappropriate behavior is completely false." The restaurant's manager backs Paterson up: "They were talking fund-raisers, budgets," says David Feeback. "That's not how you woo a lady. I'm a player, I know that."
The Post now claims "lawmakers" have "fumed" over the lunch appointment, citing one unnamed "prominent state Democrat" who "said" that Paterson was "dressed like an actor from 'Saturday Night Fever'" and suggested the Governor has more important things to worry about and more formal clothing to wear.
