Police in Brooklyn are looking for the driver in a hit-and-run accident which injured two young women crossing Flatbush Avenue in Prospect Heights at 4:30 this morning.

Investigators say the green Acura, its windshield caved in and side mirror missing, was later found abandoned two blocks from the scene of the accident. It's attached to an address in the Bronx, they say, although they don't know who was driving. They're reviewing local surveillance camera footage in an attempt to identify them.

A witness told CBS that one victim was unconscious when EMT workers arrived, and the other was "lucid." Both have reportedly been taken to Kings County Hospital with severe head injuries.
