Obama Outrage Du Jour: Sorta-Crescent on Missile Defense Logo

Yes, you've heard this before -- rightbloggers like Michelle Malkin have long insisted that the Pennsylvania 9/11 memorial looks like it has a crescent in it when viewed from space. But this is the U.S. military -- an Islamic death strike at the heart of our defenses!

Sure enough, Malkin is right on top of this. So's RedState. "This is very troubling," says barrypopik. "In World War II, would you have any American agency logo look at all like a swastika?"

Some of the brethren complain, with more justice, that the logo reminds them of the Obama campaign logo, which they find merely communist ("I think Obama just uses the same designer who happens to like that style. You know, like the seemingly endless stream of Mao admirers he's appointed to his Cabinet").

But many buy the Islam connection. Obama "is as pro-Islamic as they come and this symbol is a disgrace to America, as it is a hybrid of an Obama-Islamic crescent symbol," says Dan Cirucci. "We are in serious trouble my friends!" Socialism is Not the Answer comments, "This is one of those things that makes you say to yourself, 'Is this really happening?' " An excellent question, and one SINTA should focus on awhile.

The MDA calls the controversy "ridiculous" which must mean that they're in on it. Weep, eagle, weep!
