The Anti-Apologist! Anthony Weiner Kicks Ass, Says Joe Lieberman's a Dick, Michelle Bachmann a Nut, Etc.

Last night he was on Jon Stewart's show, and when Stewart asked him if Joe Lieberman is a dick, Weiner replied, "Yes, Jon."
(No love lost there: Previously, when informed that Lieberman had misspelled his name in a letter to Harry Reid, Weiner said, "Maybe he couldn't spell 'flip-flop' or 'back-stab,' either." Also, on Harold Ford Jr.'s Senate run: "I don't think we need another Joe Lieberman.")
Weiner also claimed on the Daily Show that if he'd run for mayor, he would have "beaten Bloomberg like a rented mule."
Earlier, Weiner was on the Rachel Maddow show and, in referring to Congressnut Michele Bachmann, added, "and whoever talks to her from the mothership."
On Monday, Weiner went into the belly of the beast itself, Fox News, and stood up to local leaders who say that New York can't handle the KSM trial, manfully telling Megyn Kelly "We can have trials of bad guys and not be quivering like jelly when we do it."
As his appearances before Democratic groups have shown, he's always had it in him. We got a taste of that back in October, when Weiner debated health care reform opponent Betsy McCaughey and called her a liar and a "pyromaniac in a straw man factory." But that was at a Democratic Leadership event, attended mainly by wonks. This new stuff is on national TV.
Maybe after all the crap he had to listen to during the Health Care Town Brawls, Weiner figured it was time to dish it out instead of just taking it. Or maybe he's looking for a talk show. In any case, what a refreshing change he offers from the apology epidemic that's going on lately.
