Village Paper Card Store Burns Down

Our intrepid legman Robert Sietsema sends sad photos of Village Paper, a festive little store on Greenwich Avenue, which caught fire early this morning. The boutique was named Best Party Supply Store by the Voice last year, but it looks like the party's over for a while as the place is gutted. Two firemen were injured in the blaze.

The phone's ringing off the hook at Village Paper now; no idea what the owners' plans are yet. Larger photos of the carnage after the jump.
