Ivanka Trump Stalker (Stalker? Really?) Arrested
A super fan of Ivanka Trump (of all people) was arrested in Reno Thursday for allegedly stalking the Celebrity Apprentice co-star. We bet her hubby, Jared Kushner, is glad to hear the news.
The thing is, the guy doesn't seem like a stalker. A weirdo, maybe, but a stalker? There was a New York warrant out for Justin Massler, 27, who was visiting his mother in Reno when cops apprehended him for allegedly stalking the 27-year-old celebrity daughter of The Donald.
Reports say that Massler, who legally changed him name to Cloud Stormchaser (or Cloud Starchaser, by other reports) four years ago, described himself as "a celebrity stalker who is obsessed with Ivanka Trump." But, he only said this in a blog posting, and his mother claims her son has a history of mental illness and has never harmed anyone.
In blog posts, Massler also claims he would be the best of friends with Ivanka, if he ever got the chance to meet or see her in person, which he hasn't. So, the alleged stalking attempts have been unsuccessful. What's the point of stalking if you never get to see or meet the person you're infatuated with, eh?
Massler's mother, Randee Massler, told the Reno Gazette-Journal that her son "never harmed anyone and hasn't done anything other than write articles on the Internet. He's like a 10-year-old who has a crush on a movie star."
Even the cops on the case acknowledged the guy hadn't done any harm. "He has been doing postings all over the Internet," Reno police Lt. Mike Whan told The Associated Press. "[He has done] nothing physical or face to face."
Massler has been called out for being a weirdo before, so perhaps these antics are nothing new. Still, no signs of legit stalking can be seen from where we're sitting.
Massler is being held without bail in the Washoe County Jail in Reno. Sucks to be him.
