John Patrick Bedell, the nut who calmly shot and lightly wounded two cops outside the Pentagon, who in return blew his brains out, turns out to be a new development in the crazy-killer genre. Once upon a time we had the Unabomber, who absolutely hated technology; now we have an Open Source geek who wanted to monetize YouTube videos via "information currency units," as he explains here in a strangled voice to prospective investors and co-conspirators, so that bigbrains like him may profit from "their knowledge and effort."
The Internet really has ruined everything. At least Manson wrote some good songs.
