Cops Want Help Identifying Slain Queens Woman

Date: Near Francis Lewis Blvd. and 228th St., Queens.

Location: Thursday, April 15, 2010, 1:14 a.m.

The police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman who was strangled to death yesterday in Queens. She was initially found unconscious at the above location. She was declared dead later at Queens General Hospital.

The city medical examiner ruled her death a homicide by ligature strangulation, which means someone choked her with a belt, wire, or rope of some kind. The police described her as white or Hispanic, 35-40, 4'11", 158 pounds with brown hair and gray roots in front. She was wearing a light blue shirt with cartoon characters on it.
