Poll: Do You Care about the New York Times/Wall Street Journal Newspaper War?

• If the dogs have fleas, so does your house and yard. Giving both a flea bath, bombing the house. Put both dogs on a flea protection like Frontline or Advantage. Do not use over the counter flea and tick products, they will make the dogs sick. Parasite control has nothing to do with grooming, a groomer does not medicate your dog. For preventative medication you must see a Vet. I do all my dog grooming myself, which for my dogs is a brushing every week and filing nails with a dremel if needed. During the change in seasons, like now, I use a shedding tool to keep my vacuuming to once a week.

• The battle is interesting because of the manipulation by the "unspeakably evil" Rupert Murdoch and his right-wing media dogs who are trying to kill off one of the best sources of unbiased, fact-based news in journalism to serve their own interests. It's also important because it involves print journalism which is in imminent danger. Accurate, fact-based journalism is the pulse of an informed democracy. Many of these true, professional journalists work in print media. If we lose them, then opinion and emotion take over and the truth loses out. The attention-deficit young, dumb and full of come are too disassociated and lost in their social relationships to care about anything, and as such refuse to read what good, fact-checking journalists produce. So, print media begins to die and with it, true, professional journalism. We are left in the grasp of News Nazis like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, lying in our face, rabble-rousing, shoving right-wing emotion in our faces. Responders and TV and talk radio denizens bark back with more emotion and opinion. Bloggers who don't do their homework and never fact-check toss in their two-cents worth of emotion and opinion. Do you really want your "truth" coming from these mad dogs?
