President Obama's Dog Is Worth Less Than a James Joyce First Edition, More Than a Golf Tourney

President Obama's financial disclosure form has been released, and among the salient nuggets are his Vanguard retirement fund (us, too!), his $1.4 million from the Nobel Peace Prize (which he donated to charity), and the news that his Portuguese water dog, Bo, (a gift from the late Senator Edward Kennedy and his wife, Victoria) is worth $1,600.

Vice President Biden, on the other hand, reports being gifted a signed first edition copy of James Joyce's "Anna Livia Plurabelle" (a chapter from Finnegan's Wake -- high falutin'!) worth $3,500, and complimentary participation in a charity golf tournament given by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation worth $750.

Nobody asked us for our financial disclosure but we're happy to tell you that we got a couple of cashmere sweaters, a Trader Joe's chocolate orange, and some fancy lip gloss, for something in the neighborhood of $200.
