NYPD Seeking Shorty Suspects in Central Park Armed Robbery

cntrlprk.jpg
Once again, a group of "marauding youths" is terrorizing the older people of Manhattan (remember when a bunch of kids were attacking Asian women on the Lower East Side?). Not cool. This time, the crime is armed robbery in Central Park. On Saturday, June 19, a 68-year-old man was walking near East 96th Street and East Drive at 7:50 p.m. when he was approached by the four suspects pictured.

One of them had a gun, another a knife. They demanded his property and got away with a cell phone and some cash; the victim, fortunately, got away without physical injuries. The NYPD is asking for assistance identifying the suspects -- or as the Daily News so eloquently dubs them, "the pint-sized punks" -- who perpetrated the attack, all of whom are described as young teens between the heights of 4'6" and 5'5".

If you have any information, call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), or submit tips at NYPDcrimestoppers.com. You can also text tips to 274637 (CRIMES), enter TIP577.
