Crazy Summer Weather Alert: Watch for Golf-Ball-Sized Hail

The clouds are rolling in. We hear that there's a severe thunderstorm watch on until 8 p.m. tonight in New York and its surrounding environs. We also hear that there was "golf-ball-sized hail" sighted on the Throgs Neck today, and that someone may have seen a tornado on Long Island -- can anyone confirm or deny?

And so, our week of wacky weather (earthquakes, heat, tornadoes, raining cats and dogs) continues. Keep your Crocs on, especially if you're waiting in line for your new iPhone.
