94-Year-Old Socialite Zelda Kaplan Is Awesome and We Want to Party With Her

Zelda+Kaplan+92.jpg
Coming up upon our 30s, or blowing right past them as the case may be, we sort-of-finally (maybe?) New York adults are confounded with worries...Are we too old? Are we no longer cool enough? Can we still do all the things we used to and want to do, or do we have to run out and grab a husband or wife-person and settle down in the suburbs until we can no longer stand it and Madame Bovary out?

Thank God for Zelda Kaplan, the 94-year-old socialite/woman-about-town/today's subject of Daily Intel's 21 Questions, who renews our faith in the ability to be cool in New York far after our 30th birthdays -- though she is admittedly cooler than we will ever be. Still, we have some stuff in common! (Our vitamins came from Mom.) To wit:

What's your drink? Shiraz.

How often do you prepare your own meals?
Almost never.

What's your favorite medication?
I don't use medication, but Mia Morgan bought me a bottle of vitamins last year -- I just realized I forgot to take them!

When's bedtime?
Anytime between midnight and 7 a.m.

Who is your mortal enemy?
Death.

And this is why you can get old and maybe gray and never ever say die in New York City. Also, the woman has her own website, and is positively fearless about hats. Zelda, will you please let us buy you a shiraz?
