Chelsea Clinton's Wedding Is Turning Brooklyn Teacher's Big Day Into Hell

Who should we feel worse for: Chelsea Clinton, who's trying to have a normal wedding as the public speculates about every detail, or Emn Haddad-Friedman, a Brooklyn teacher scheduled to marry on the same day and in the same town where Clinton is widely rumored to be tying the knot?

Haddad-Friedman is reasonably worried that Clinton's security (and, she assumes, street closures) in Rhinebeck will interfere with guests traveling from her nearby July 31 wedding to her reception, and will overshadow her important day after two years of planning with her mother, who's footing the bill for the affair complete with a cupcake cake (yum).

"If Chelsea's wedding does happen, they'll probably close all the roads and my guests will have to drive for an hour and a half to get from my ceremony to the reception, if they get there at all," Haddad-Friedman tells Yahoo's Shine blog.

Okay, noted. We all know how frustrating getting to Midtown is when the U.N. is in session, for example, much less when someone governmental is in town. If that happens in Rhinebeck, yeah, that could be annoying. But then Haddad-Friedman gets a little...intense:

"I know she's not doing it on purpose," Haddad-Friedman says. "But Chelsea Clinton has taken what was supposed to be a special day for me and turned it into hell...Now I'm freaking out, and my mom is going nuts."

Deep breaths, hon.

Though her garter's in a stressed-out knot over the whole fiasco, Haddad-Friedman says she will marry Alex Bero, 28, whom she met as a Bard College freshman, come hell or high security. "If none of the guests can get to the wedding, we're still getting married. The officiant is only 10 minutes away. As long as we're there, a witness and some one who can marry us, we're doing it." We hope it doesn't come to that, but that's love, right there, everyone. Against all odds!

But what if both brides wear the same dress? Bitch, don't even.
