David Paterson's New Bling: Can Kabbalah Fix the Budget Crisis?

Governor Paterson has taken to wearing a red string Kabbalah bracelet (you know, just like Madonna!). Per the Daily News, his spokesman Morgan Hook said, "It was explained to the governor that the red string is a symbol of protection [that] wards off problems and tribulations. His attitude was that he'll take all the help he can get." Not that he's committed to the religion or anything: "Kabbalah didn't change his life, just to be clear here," Hook said. Also, he's wearing it on the wrong wrist. Oops. Those little red strings go for $26 each; maybe Paterson can start a side biz to beef up the budget. [JDoll]
