Sarah Palin Pleas to "Peaceful Muslims," Needs a Better Twitter Editor

story.jpg
It's almost not fun to harp on Sarah Palin's online foibles. It still is, though. Today, she took to her biggest soapbox, Twitter, to say insensitive, condescending things about Muslims. And with made-up words, no less. "Ground Zero Mosque supporters: doesn't it stab you in the heart, as it does ours throughout the heartland? Peaceful Muslims, pls refudiate," she Tweeted this morning. It's happened to her before. Sarah, we know a lot of talented editors out of work, and their political inclinations come after their finances on the priority scale. Promise!

Palin used "refudiate" on Wednesday, but on television, indicating that while she probably does not have a ghost-Tweeter, she really does grapple with speaking English correctly.

She deleted the original offending text in favor of, "Peaceful New Yorkers, pls refute the Ground Zero mosque plan if you believe catastrophic pain caused @ Twin Towers site is too raw, too real." As Little Green Footballs points out, "refute" is still the wrong word in that context, but it'll do. But changing "Muslims" to "New Yorkers" left her itching for more and she followed up, addressing the Real Enemy:

Peace-seeking Muslims, pls understand, Ground Zero mosque is UNNECESSARY provocation; it stabs hearts. Pls reject it in interest of healing

Wherever it is you stand on this issue, is this the person anyone really wants holding the megaphone? Pls refudiate.
