Charlie Rangel's Birthday Party Makes for Easy Attack Ads on Guests (Video)

Less than 24 hours after scandal-plagued Democratic congressman Charles "Charlie" Rangel's birthday party took place, Republican opponents are turning around footage from it for their own attack ads. Target number one? U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, as fired from campaign of her challenger David Malpass!

Quick turnaround, right? And by the way, that's sound-tracked to "The Little Things," a track by Danny Elfman off the Wanted soundtrack. Copyright violation, anyone? Either way, yeah, this was an easy catch, and an insubstantial one at that -- all NYC Democrats can be tied to Charlie Rangel because they're NYC Democrats -- but it's at the very least impressive how Malpass' clearly social-media savvy campaign seized on it in such little time.
