Man Shot, Killed in the Wakefield Section of the Bronx

LOCATION: The corner of Matilda Avenue and East 240 Street, Wakefield, The Bronx.
Police responded just after midnight to a shooting in the Wakefield section of the Bronx. They found a man shot in the chest. He was taken to Jacobi Hospital where he was declared dead. The identity of the victim has yet to be released.
