  • The New York Times has a story about how bedbugs basically make people into pariahs. If you're afflicted, you may get treated like Brooklyn waitress Hilary Davis, whose "friends and even her boyfriend refused to take her in" while her apartment was being treated. [NYT]

  • WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been accused of rape and molestation in Sweden, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. "The charges are without basis and their issue at this moment is deeply disturbing," according to WikiLeaks' Twitter feed. Now, Swedish authorities have apparently dropped the case. [AP]

  • An impressively brazen would-be burglar attempted to break into a Staten Island family's house twice in one day. Twice in one hour, actually, and in broad daylight. [NY1]

  • Rush Limbaugh just sold his gaudy Upper East Side condo for $11.75 million, and left the ornate decor behind. "International purchasers" bought it, apparently, and are keeping all the furniture. [NYP]

  • "A colorful inflatable bounce house, a smoking grill and two jumpsuit-wearing Elvis Presley impersonators. It wasn't a carnival, but an auction of items connected to former Gov. Rod Blagojevich." [Bloomberg BusinessWeek]
