Roger Clemens Indicted for Perjury

roger_clemens.jpg
Following in the not-so-great tradition of Barry Bonds, former Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens has been indicted by federal authorities on six charges, including perjury and making false statements to Congress, about his use of performance-enhancing drugs.

This follows the moment two and a half years ago when Clemens and his former trainer Brian McNamee contradicted each other under oath at a hearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform about whether Clemens had used steroids. (Whoops!) Clemens has said McNamee made up the allegations. Did he/didn't he? Thank goodness that mystery will finally be cleared up.

In the meantime, here is Clemens looking sad.
