Lady Gaga, Lobbyist

Apparently, Lady Gaga doesn't just have the power to get major legislation moved onto the floor of the U.S. Senate, but she's got U.S. senators clamoring to reach her on Twitter.

After turning up to the VMAs on Sunday with four service members discharged because of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and calling out Harry Reid, Lady Gaga has managed to get a vote scheduled on the law's possible repeal -- something that has eluded other opponents since about 1993.

Now, after asking her fans to lobby their senators for "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" repeal, she's apparently followed suit. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand Tweeted the following, after apparently getting called but missing the Lady earlier today:

To which Gaga replied:

Usually, Senators don't have to beg those lobbying them for a few minutes to chat, via twitter or any other means. But then again, Lady Gaga isn't just any ol' lobbyist.
