The "Ground Zero Victory Mosque" Attack Ad (Video)

It only took psychopaths from outside of New York City what, a month? The inevitable "Ground Zero Victory Mosque" attack ad has finally arrived. Via The Atlantic, it comes from a conservative PAC from Iowa, and yes, it's as gross as you imagined it to be.

Who?: The American Future Fund. Their mission is to "provide Americans with a conservative and free market viewpoint to have a mechanism to communicate and advocate on the issues that most interest and concern them."

Where?: They're based out of Iowa, so how could you possibly expect them to know that there's no such thing as a "Ground Zero Mosque," right? As far as the ads, according to The Atlantic, they're going to be running in "districts where the following Democratic newcomers are vying for their first congressional terms: Michigan's Gary McDowell, Washington's Danny Heck, West Virginia's Mike Oliverio, and Arkansas's Chad Causey." Note that none of the districts the ads are running in are in New York. UPDATE: The Atlantic was snookered on the specifics of the ad buy, but yes, the ad still actually exists, and has been aired in Iowa, and it's existed since late August.

Why? Because it's election season, and why not lie about something your constituents don't know about in order to paint your opposition as terrorists? It's not like anyone's gonna stop them.
