Bringing a Crocodile on a Plane Officially a Very, Very Bad Idea

crocodile.jpg
In a chain of events that can only be called both ludicrous and tragic, an escapee crocodile on a plane led to a stampede of passengers trying to escape the crocodile, which led to the plane being thrown off balance, which led to its crash in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which killed 20 people on board, leaving just one survivor.

There are many lessons here, not least: Don't panic if there's a crocodile on the loose on your plane; don't bring a crocodile on your plane; why the hell was there a crocodile on the plane, anyway?

A report by news organisation Jeune Afrique stated: "According to the inquiry report and the testimony of the only survivor, the crash happened because of a panic sparked by the escape of a crocodile hidden in a sports bag.

One of the passengers had hidden the animal, which he planned to sell, in a big sports bag, from which the reptile escaped as the plane began its descent into Bandundu."

What not to do.

Anyway, this is very sad, and a very dramatic, way to die. Not least for the crocodile, who surely didn't ask to be taken on the trip, much less in a sports bag, and who "survived the crash before being cut up with a machete."

Really, no one wins in this one. Except maybe the suits who option this for the next Samuel L. Jackson movie, and of course, Samuel L. Jackson himself.
